What a sport. The 'harvesters' are allowed to set out up to ten gallons of bait. (see rules). And how big will the killing get next year, possibly aided by tracking dogs?
This is simply a blood sport to entertain those who have a lust for killing. We wonder why violence against one another is so rampant in this state. St. Francis of Assisi phrased it well: "If you have men who will exclude any of God's creatures from the shelter of compassion and pity, you will have men who will deal likewise with their fellow man."
So how many pigs, cows, and chickens were inhumanely raised and then slaughtered in Wisconsin?
Why the big deal about wolves -- even if you want to say they have more of a "right" to exist, the sheer numbers involved here make the concentration on hunting versus corporate mega-farming ridiculous.
And hunters slaugher bambi each year in Wisconsin -- no outrage there.
If this is your pet issue -- fair enough. Maybe you are a big dog lover -- fine.
Blog what you want -- will you allow this post though?
Why do people structure their lives around the bowel and bladder habits of a canine anyhow?
Seems to me that if I loved and respected that species, I would just let them go in the house.
And if left-to-their-own choice, all dogs would too.
This picture is so sad and portrays the lack of compassion Walker'ndsetdts legislators have not only for animals, but for us as well. They have lost the capacity for feeling what it is like to live inside another's skin and for knowing that there can never really be peace and joy for any until there is peace and joy finally for all.
Unbelieveably cruel! No sport here! Just pain and suffering, how inhumaine to let one one gods creatures suffer! Any one who thinks this is ok has been totally desensitized from whats right & wrong. If you think this is ok then your saying you dont care that a animal suffers in pain till finally dies. If this was a family pet people would be outraged! How is this right?
