SportsmensGate Could Put GOP Officials On Endangered List
Anyone who has been in and/or around government knows SportsmensGate is gaining the kind of momentum that keeps prosecutors and politicians awake at night.
Sadly......the Dem's are going to let this fade to black rather than pressing for public hearings, investigations of DNR or John Doe proceedings. This is just what Walker and those involved in the scandal expected would happen. Patrick Marley, Jason Stein, Dee Hall and Mary Spicuzza have done all the leg work and brought this fraud front and center but the Dem's have lost the courage to fight for what is right for the citizens of Wisconsin. They've got a full blown scandal handed to them and they sit silent. The Solidarity Singers make the Dem's look like choir boys ...as they are willing to face Walker and his troops head on while the Dems mount a quiet voice of criticism... but no action.
The Dems have little leverage. All the legislative committees that could hold hearings are chaired by and controlled by Republicans. They also control the AG's office. If the Dane County DA doesn't step up, opportunities are indeed lost.
There is a role for the old ethics board not absorbed into the GAB, however.
Amen. Keep shining the light on Van Hollen. Vukimir/ALEC, WI Sportsmen.....
