Politician Panders For Purple Prose Prize

Or Wisconsin Republican Congressman Jim Sensenbrenner ate some bad Chobani yogurt before his New Berlin town hall meeting Sunday:
...Sensenbrenner asserted that the legacy of debt he believes Obamacare would deepen "is hanging over this country like the Black Plague was over this world during the Middle Ages."

  1. Just before Obamacare was voted in so many years ago, Jim wrote an op-ed that appeared in the West Bend Daily News (and I assume all other papers in his district). In it he referred to people without insurance as "those people" and talked about how they were going to 'clog up' the system. I wrote his office and pointed out that 'those people' were also known as constituents and he was supposed to be representing them as well.
No reply of course. It does no good to talk to your reps in some parts of WI.

  2. I suspect Jim's greatest fear is that the preventive medicine portion of Nixon-Romney-Obamacare will suggest a weight loss program.
