The new Kaiser Family Foundation study looking at Obamacare’s likely impact on health insurance costs is getting a lot of attention, and rightly so. As Bloomberg News puts it, this is the “the broadest look yet at what consumers will pay for health insurance when the Affordable Care Act takes full effect next year,” and its top line finding is that insurance will be “affordable.” In other words, no “rate shock.”Walker's people should pull the toxic numbers they put out the other day to mislead and scare people, and then they should starting getting the exchanges rolling and end the program's blockade here.

Why Walker's People Put Out Bad Information About ObamaCare

ReplyDeleteof course, the real reason is that when the ACA is in full operation, people will find out it actually helps them (and some of them are finding out already) and it will become popular; and like with Social Security and Medicare, it will serve to further drive people away from the Republican Party.
ReplyDeleteNo rate shock for who? Those in the pool having to buy insurance are on a 3 tier rate system. Seniors are the highest rate payers.
ReplyDeleteWant a better idea of true health costs? Look to Minnesota's website. The numbers are far more in line with reality. All the info about rate data, tax credits and everything else is there too.
ReplyDeleteMakes Walker and his "insurance comminsioner" just look like idiots. But then what would we expect given performance at the WEDC, DNR, et al....
