Business sector support
Sector development specialists are DNR staff who work with specific
industrial or commercial sectors. They serve as the first point of
contact for those businesses, providing coordinated technical and
compliance assistance across all DNR divisions and programs.
- If you are not sure who to contact, or do not see your specific sector information below, please email us and we will respond to you promptly.
Sector development specialists work to improve environmental and
economic performance by clarifying requirements, facilitating flexible
approaches to requirements and enabling practices that improve
profitability and market performance. Improved environmental and
economic performance is pursued through various strategies including
pollution prevention, waste minimization, energy efficiency, supply
chain management, green chemistry, market development and many others.
The sector specialists will also work with a business or sector to
address trends important to business retention and market development
related to environmental performance.
