Wisconsin DNR Shelter Fawn Kill Makes DC Media

Cathy Stepp's DNR is on the national media stage:
“I said the deer is scheduled to go to the wildlife reserve the next day,” Mr. [Ray] Schulze told the station. “I was thinking in my mind they were going to take the deer and take it to a wildlife shelter, and here they come carrying the baby deer over their shoulder. She was in a body bag. I said, ‘Why did you do that?’ He said, ‘That’s our policy,’ and I said, ‘That’s one hell of a policy.’
Little deer are not safe when in the Wisconsin DNR's sights:
With the killing of a young deer at a Kenosha shelter on orders of the Wisconsin DNR in the news, I'm struck by the irony in this separate photo the DNR sent out in 2011 for agency Secretary Cathy Stepp celebrating the proud occasion of her "first deer" kill.

    13 armed agents/law enforcement made the assault - that is the real story here. As a hunter I have shot small deer too, but I certainly would not post pictures of them! Actually, in N. WI, the small deer usually end up starving to death first in a hard winter since they can not browse as high, so for population control, it makes sense to harvest them.

    Stepp looks like she is five times the size of that deer. Killing it is nothing to smile about but she is too stupid to get the irony.

    She sure likes killing babies! What a man! Oops, woman! Did they take Giggles, let her out if the body bag (if she was alive) and shoot her?? I know, different but same outcome! Now I finally understand the term "cheesehead"

    This woman and this organization sicken me. Killing for the sake of killing and enjoying it is in the realm of serial killers. These people charged with protecting our ecosystem are actually just enjoying their power and feeding their blood lust. I can hardly wait to see them sanctioned for this!
