Walker's Capitol Meltdown

Continuing mass arrests at the State Capitol for singing in the rotunda without a permit now include a Madison alderman and also a working journalist charged with obstruction and resisting arrest.

I'd be surprised if prosecutors want to press those charges.

The strategy may help Walker win some short-term support with his base, but the country will dismiss him as authoritarian and a dictator.

    If they would get a permit they could offend the public all they want. The so called journalist was interfering with those enforcing the law. He is lucky he got just a fine.

    Authoritarian much? Kind of ignores the fact that trumped up "required permits" are unconstitutional.

    IOKIYAR, just as usual. The only person the singers are offending is the thin-skinned wall-eyed homunculus (thanks Charlie Pierce!) serving as Governor.

    So now Our Boy Scotty has two choices: keep on arresting people, digging his hole deeper still; or stop arresting people, looking like a squish to all his authoritarian suck-up followers, who love the idea of having military goons beat up people who disagree with them.

    I vote for "keep arresting the people".

    These law breakers are no better than the idiots who vandalized Riverside University H.S.'s front sign on Milwaukee's hoity toity east side.

    Gosh, the police have gotten soft.

    I particularly liked the touch of distraction by "so-called journalist." Yeah, whatever. The editor of a 104 year old magazine isn't a journalist. Up is down, singing is illegal, and Walker is a Governor. Reality has not handle on you folks anymore, does it?
