Transit is key, well-maintained local roads are key, some new highway construction is key. They are all critical but they need to be done in the right balance.But it isn't at all clear that GOP Friends of the Road-Builders running the Joint Finance Committee on Scott Walker's behalf have any interest in following along.

And because of that, Wisconsin is one of those corners of the country where it's considered acceptable to drive to and from a bar. And thus the high rate of DUI crashes, deaths, arrests.
And also, it's a part of the world where the elderly hold on to their cars well past the day they become unfit to drive.
And it's a place where the lack of a car means you can't get a job to save up for the car you need to get to a job...
Insane. Unjust. And holding Wisconsin backwards. This is why you can't walk through a restaurant in New England without hearing Wisconsin accents nowadays.
