Nope. Those 20-30 year old locos will remain in service, on those lines that are not listed for speed upgrades.
So, while New England and the EAst Coast gets new locomotives for both the Acela and the Regional service, the Midwest will get the East Coast's hand me downs, thanks to Scooter.

ReplyDeleteNo they won't. Like many, you are also quite uninformed on this issue. They are currently replacing 20-30 year old engines.
