Facing these recent large-scale and high-profile industrial payroll losses - - Oshkosh and Caterpillar - - on top of two years of failing and falling growth - - you'd expect Walker to junk his politically-inspired austerity schemes for state stimulus actions coordinated on a big-partisan and labor/management basis (and I mean far broader than road-building).

Wouldn't it have been a reasonable corporate strategy to plan for diverse product lines in the case that peace was declared? It's sad that there are layoffs but doesn't it seem a little fishy that the corporation has no plan B? Or do they have a plan B that involves locating somewhere else?
