The Legislature has mandated, with State Rep. Joel Kleefisch (R-Oconomowoc) in the lead, a fast-tracked wolf hunting season in Wisconsin under emergency rule-making (what emergency?) without having made the case that the hunt needs methods barred elsewhere, such as the use of traps, dogs and other questionable procedures.
To be fair, the wording "201 dead wolves" for the first season to begin in October is not a DNR phrase.
It prefers terms like "harvest quotas."
Incredibly short sighted. The emergency does not exist.
ReplyDeleteUsing steel traps to hunt these animals is unconscienable.
AWESOME!!!!
