Alliant Energy Corp. of Madison will shut down a coal-fired power plant in southwestern Wisconsin while adding pollution controls to a plant in Sheboygan to keep it running, the company announced Friday.The Sierra Club was instrumental in getting the stinky Charter St. coal-fired plant shut down in Madison as well.
