Walker and others know that official employment numbers come out Thursday for both January and February, so to counter tbad news if the downward jobless trend of the last six months continues,
Walker could call a special session if the mining bill goes down today to create the impression that he is doing
something about jobs as the recall election looms.
Another? What ALEC bills are waiting in the wings?
ReplyDeleteThis guy does not know how to govern. He tweeted the other day that he was calling legislators to convince them to pass the mining bill. Imagine that! Actually engaging with the legislature -- and not just a hand-picked few!
All the lessons we learned in civics so many years ago about how a bill is written (in committee, wasn't it?), debated, amended and passed seem so out-of-date now; I thought Walker had determined that working with the legislature was similarly passe.
Let's see - jobs session. That's where they vote on all kinds of bills dealing with sexual orientation, reproductive issues, religion, guns, and so forth, right?
ReplyDeleteWell, it is the season for another Democratic Party holiday in Rockford, isn't it?
