Cal Thomas Was Mr. Crude About Birth Control Before Rush Limbaugh's Sleaze

Don't forget that syndicated conservative columnist Cal Thomas made some personally-aimed cheap shots about contraception, too.

Thomas dropped his incivility into in an exchange with The Heritage Foundation's Genevieve Wood before a chortling, televised CPAC audience in Washington, DC, about Rachel Maddow and others working at MSNBC:

“Well I’m really glad, Genevieve, that you played the Rachel Maddow clip,” Thomas said, “because I think that she is the best argument in favor of her parents using contraception. I would be all for that, and all of the rest of the crowd at MSNBC, too, for that matter."
