It doesn't look like it. He seems to be using a sawed-off semi-automatic, sprayin' brass and hollow-point puns everywhere, and....okay I can't take it anymore I gotta stop. On the serious side, while I do not have a lot of love for Ms. N, (okay, none) she has been SERIOUSLY hate-mongered by Dem bloggers. If I was her, I would certainly be having passing thoughts about some nutjob deciding to teach me a lesson. She'd be nuts NOT to carry a gun with the notoriety she has in this hate-filled climate we are in. If anyone (and I'm sure there are many) says/thinks "she deserves it for what she has done", I say that is a non-argument. There is WAAAY too much hate and contempt these days. Since the Gifford shooting I'd say that the invective has ratcheted UP, not diminished. WHO WILL BE NEXT? That is a very legitimate question. We WILL get an answer - there WILL be more events of that type. Wisconsin is a hotbed of conflict, and it will only get worse in coming months. I would like to see Ms. N straighten up and fly right, but I would NOT like to see her or any other political figure reach an untimely violent end. Plus, it just gets dark early so much of the year, she probably has to do a lot of running around, in a car by herself, driving for miles on roads that will seem creepy if she breaks down and all that normal stuff. If I was her, I'd want a couple of state-wide TV spots that showed the public I was trained and carrying.
You can't have a society wherein women as a "minority" group are targeted physically, emotionally, financially and legally without many of those females feeling a need to arm themselves against that Sea Of Troubles. Ms. N. is clearly NOT going to use that gun to hold up a 7-11. She is NOT going to be dangerous. it is also highly unlikely she will endanger any children who might come to her home. She MAY be getting trained as a show of partisan solidarity, or posturing. But I'd bet she has moments where she feels pretty weird and wonders. Even if not, too many women are targets of random violence. I still (and always will )have trouble with seeing men admonishing women for gun/weapon ownership.
Concerned males can go out and stop the aggressive/abusive members of their own sex from preying on the smaller of the species. And they can stop their male TV executives and countless other male profit-reapers from making piles of money off of exploiting females in some way or other. That ought to keep you busy for awhile.
Until then I really wish you'd stop the boilerplate echo-chamber harangue on every tiny thing related to guns. Our culture is seriously, deeply, fatally screwed up. It's childish (and convenient) to portray guns as a CAUSE of that screwed-up-ness when in fact they are a SYMPTOM. It's really nuts - Dem talking points fixate on a type of weapon rather than the behaviors, actions, causes etc etc. If all the guns got magically sucked off the planet, people would just get the job done in other ways. They always have.
Final thought: Guns are more egalitarian. They are the one weapon where physical strength is not required. Knives, clubs all that other stuff will have the bigger combatant winning every time. It's a might makes right world we live in. Guns are the one weapon that puts females on equal footing with their male assailants.
Look ANON if Nicholas can't even save critical data with a little touch from her trigger finger I'd be more worried about her shooting the voting machine after her county kicks Walker out of office.
Well she is a blond now and they do have more fun- right?

This is wishful thinking. An assailant who knows that someone is carrying a concealed weapon can disarm that person in a matter of seconds. This is just one reason why it isn't wise to brag in public about packing heat. It shows a clear lack of judgment.
Given the number of arrant shots your side has taken at Ms. Nickolaus, I worry more about your reactionary, shoot from the hip mentality.
ReplyDeleteDo you have your safety on James?
