A Waukesha County judge - - through what authority, exactly? - - saddles the Government Accountability Board with orders requiring new costs and procedures
that will delay the recall election, thus giving Walker more time to
raise unlimited funds through the recall election law's pro-incumbent
loophole.
Walker and the Republican Party did well to take their case to Waukesha County.
By saddling do you mean the GAB is going to be required to actually function as a GAB?
ReplyDeleteJudge Davis simply asked for "Reasonable" actions to be taken. Why would anyone oppose having the GAB make sure the signatures are at least somewhat valid? After all, the duty of the GAB is to help ensure a fair election process.
If you are comfortable with judges ordering agencies to perform their tasks in this manner, fine. Just remember it when another judges forces an agency Walker controls to do the judge's bidding.
ReplyDeleteOkay, democrats, prepare your lawsuits.
ReplyDeleteIf a judge can make the DNR protect Wisconsin's natural resources, then let's make that happen.
