There's a lot about conservative talk radio in the Milwaukee area to be concerned about, but there are times when the medium offers its own brand of silly, self-inflicted parody.
To wit: Mark Belling's boss Jerry Bott is filling in today for Belling on the 1130 WISN-AM afternooon show, and Bott decided to dump on new Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele for some perhaps apolitic remarks Abele made about last year's fatality at the County's O'Donnell Park ramp.
Bott lectured Abele about speaking based on "assumptions" when holding an executive position, which Bott said he understood because of his position at the station.
Then Bott went on to tell the audience what "I think" Abele was up.
Which is an assumption, no?
At the risk of making an ass out of u and me, I would assume so.
ReplyDeleteAs Flakey Foont said to Mr. Natural - - If I could only stop thinking.
ReplyDeleteAt least, I think that's what he said.
I saw Abele's speech to the Council yesterday.
ReplyDeleteAfter all the abuse GW and other not-so-articulate speakers took about being a bumbling, stumbling, idiots from the left, I challenge you to defend that sorry excuse for an address by Abele.
Pathetic. Purely pathetic. He was a deer in headlights in front of the sorry Milwaukee Common Council.
An invited guest to the Council meeting, Abele quipped his time was limited to 5 minutes, and he obliged! Even with the ability to basically summarize he himmed and hawwed worse than a 6th grader.
A true embarrassment it was.
Chris Abele for County Executive
ReplyDelete"we’ll be facing bankruptcy soon. The answer can not simply be to raise taxes or continue to cut the services that we’re paying taxes for in the first place."
I dunno Aaron, this sounds like a darn reasonable strategy to me.
Whereas Walker "fixes" education by ripping apart aid for disabled students, Chris Abele improves after school programs.
"he himmed✔ and hawwed✔ worse than a 6th grader."
ReplyDeleteHis spelling was worse than that of a second grader.
Sorry, I couldn't resist. ;-)
Chris Abele doesn't need 9 extra pens to adjust funding in light of savings.
