I had included erroneous information in a blog posting a few days ago - - and subsequently taken down - - about what was in the budget-repair (sic) bill rushed to approval in the state legislature, and want to post more accurate information linked here.
In short: permission for the Walker administration to sell Wisconsin's 37 state-owned power plants, even under no-bid circumstances, remains in his budget proposal, and that will not come to a vote for some weeks.
It's time to start writing an request for an injunction, to be filed immediately after passage of the Stick-It-to-Wisconsin budget bill.
ReplyDeleteMany of Scott Walker;s acts can be overturned or undone after recall. This isn't one of those.
This is a little confusing to me. Amy Loudenbeck said she got this removed from the budget repair bill. That is why she voted on it.
ReplyDeleteThe "budget repair" bill was split into two parts. The power plant sale was not in the part that passed, but the rest is still pending,
ReplyDeleteSo we have to follow it closely! Thanks for the info
