The Journal Sentinel breaks out the numbers from an annual study and finds, as I predicted yesterday, that our traffic congestion, while an annoyance, is hardly a crisis.
The reason we are dumping ever more money into new lanes, wider off-ramps, and new interchanges has more to do with road-builder and bi-partisan, long-standing State Capitol politics and less to do with data-driven decision-making.
