Scott Walker is still campaigning and sloganeering, as he Tweets:
GovWalker: Busy day. Already back 2 working on budget, meeting w/lawmakers, cabinet, budget team, etc. WI is Open 4 Business.http://ow.ly/i/6XIY
Setting aside the Talgo train manufacturing business in Milwaukee he shut down, or the 4,700 rail line construction jobs he transferred to other states - - how do we explain that the state was closed 4 business when a leading-edge solar technology firm announced last week it was bringing hundreds of jobs to Dane County?
Turns out that the perfect location - - just as Master Lock is finding - - for its particular niche was Wisconsin regardless of how consistently Republicans had been running down the state's business climate or claiming that wage and tax considerations were the make-or-break siting determinants for business location.
About Walker's jobs pledge, didn't you assume that he meant his administration would create 250,000 jobs in addition to those that are created in the normal course of things?
ReplyDeleteCertainly.
ReplyDeleteHis new Workforce Development team has to be watched carefully to make sure claims about job creation are not politically-tweaked.
