Targeting List Disappears From Palin's Blog

But this TV interview shows that Cong. Giffords had seen it.

  1. Yes, I have been following this on Fox news which seems to have the best coverage. Although I doubt that Sarah Palin master- mined the tragedy, it probably won’t be too long before someone will be blaming Glenn Beck, the Tea Party or perhaps even free speech itself.

Judging from his youtube videos, Jared Loughner was clearly confused and delusional. Disturbed people can go over the edge when incited by the words of others, and this is tragic but unless those words are purposely intended to incite physical harm to another they are still just words and ideas. The free exchange of ideas is too important in the advancement of society to be stifled.

I am looking forward to the recovery of Gabrielle Giffords and recall her recent contribution in the last session of congress where she read out loud, the first amendment.

Free exchange of ideas and 24/7 preaching of eliminating the competition are two different things and of course the rightwingnutia who you just named and who are responsible for the rhetoric will do whatever they can to minimize their culpability in promoting the culture of hate towards and fear towards anyone not expressly agreeing with them. You just proved that point.

I'm predicting the next agenda item for the righwingnutia in the WI legislature will be to demand immediate open carry of handguns to, "protect us from the demented few," loose cannons in our midst. They'll go so far as to claim this will promote new jobs and improve the business climate in the state.

Nothing as sane as providing personnel and funding for adequate statewide education and mental health care and actually providing work for an ever more distressed and hopeless working poor or middle class in our state will be anywhere on the radar. I think there are quite a few folks in the Milwaukee area who can chime in with the results of Gov Walker's treatment of mental health services while in that county.
