Wisconsin Roads Remain Safer For Motorists, Deadlier For Motorcyclists

And deadlier for pedestrians and bicyclists.

I've been tracking this for a while; motorcyclist deaths this year running about 30% above 2009's rate.

Also, based on WisDOT data supplied to me by email earlier this year,  the previous five-year average for motorcycle driver fatalities is 93.4, including:

92 in 2005, 93 in 2006, 110 in 2007, 88 in 2008 and 84 in 2009 - - so the 2010 fatality total through the end of November already exceeds the five-year  average, and has reversed what had been a downward trend since 2007, when the state's death toll for motorcycle drivers reached 110, an all-time high.
