Oxnard, CA seems to have figured out where the experts are.
Check out this posting: Oxnard brought in Rockwell Automation - - yes, that big firm right here in Milwaukee - - to solve Oxnard's thorny water treatment and supply problem.
And the article also cites none other than Dr. Val Klump, head of UWM's WATER Institute (though the article misattributed the Institute to UW-Madison).
Klump and Oxnard's public worlds director gave presentations at a Rockwell conference in California late last year.
You can find those presentations at this site.
I'm not carrying any water for Rockwell, and I can see that Waukesha's issues are different than Oxnard's, but it does seem as if there is deep water treatment talent in and around Milwaukee to be better tapped.
And don't we have an M-7 and a Water Council that is supposed to be making Milwaukee a water hub?
Can we get these dots better connected?
I have a query into the Waukesha Water Utility about Rockwell and will post any response I get.
