I was out of town for a few days, came back to a yard filled with leaves, and while I was doing some midnight raking Sunday night, who should drive by but the DPW leaf collecting crews.
In some service-starved communities, such an amenity would be unthinkable.
I feel the same way when the snow is plowed, or when the fire trucks and police officers roll down the street.
Milwaukee does pretty well by its taxpayers.
SO how much do you want to bet those "dedicated" public union employees were getting OT for working on Sunday Night?
ReplyDeleteWhich may range from time and a half (simple OT) up to triple time (OT + Sunday) depending on their contract.
Personally I would question the need for them to be out at that time of night, aren't some people trying to sleep?
