Democratic Gubernatorial Defeats Troubling, But Not Fatal

I suspect that when the economy is better in 2010, Democrats will not suffer losses greater than typical off-year results for the party in power.

Virginia and New Jersey, with local tax and personality issues, do not a national trend make.

  1. That's right James - keep deluding yourself.

Your mis-spellings, very unusual in your posts, is your subconscious trying to tell you something.

Obama's non-stimulus package was just a sop to keep various governmental units somewhat afloat in 2009 - just how many elections do you think are going to have taxes as a major issue in 2010 - how about all of them?

And that is why no matter what Dem you dig up to run for Gov, they are going to lose my friend.

  4. NJ is solid blue. Losing NJ is bad for Team Donkey.

58-33, Independents favored Christie. Obama appeared for the man a lot. Yep, move along, nothing to see here.

  5. In case you missed it & this does need to be verified by Guinness, but apparently Bill Owens the Dem "winner" of the New York 23rd special election set a new world record by breaking 4 campaign promises in his 1st hour of being sworn in.

    Owens 1st hour in Congress
