Xoff On Loose-Nuke Thinking
Bill Christofferson reminds readers of the Shepherd Express that the Governor's Task Force on Global Warming, with support from some environmental groups, wants to make it easier to expand nuclear power generation in the state.
To be fair, none of the environmental groups that were part of the task force want more nuclear power in the state. Most are part of an anti-nuclear coalition working for a 100% renewable energy policy.
But the enviros on the task force did agree to support the whole package, and not try to pull out the change in the nuclear regulations. That battle will be up to the rest of us, who were not at the table.
