Recently-retired Journal Sentinel editorial writer Jerry Resler returned to Sunday's Crossroads section with a brilliant economic and political aargument in favor of Midwestern High-Speed Rail.
It's must-read and another important reason, among others, to vote for Barack Obama, a national passenger rail backer.
Note that some funding for high-speed rail is possible soon, though there could be all sorts of hangups on actual appropriations.
That is more likely if the Democrats control Congress and The White House.
It would also be an improvement if Wisconsin officials touting high-speed rail nationally and regionally would also get on board with support for the more local and logical rail connections within and connecting cities, too.
