Chicago continues to be city with a big imagination when it comes to announcing that cities can be greener stewards of the environment...so the goal of repaving its 2,000 miles of alleys with materials that allow rain and snow to seep naturally back into the water table is really exciting.
Why not find out what your city, village or town has on tap to save energy and conserve water.
Yea, but Chicago diverts way more Great Lakes water than anyone and is, by the way, completely exempt from the precious Compact you fawn over so much. Yea, all hail the green-minded FIBs.

Chicago's economy is linked to ours in many ways. We can also learn a thing or two from the city, too.
It's total hypocrisy. They've been pulling all that water for more than 100 years and this is supposed to make up for it?? Oh and let's not forget their sewage dumping problems, which make MMSD look like Mr. Clean.
