I still think that wiping out a solid brand name and genuinely special air service so shareholders can become instant investors in generic airline is a loss for Milwaukee.
And renaming the Midwest Convention Center the AirTran Center will demote our downtown's meeting and exhibition facility with the fake-named Petco Parks and Safeco Fields of the country.
Not everyone will know what an AirTran is, or why you'd go to a meeting there unless your air-conditioner went on the fritz.
