Maybe she could comment on why MMSD dumping of sewage is good for Lake Michigan
ReplyDeleteShe can probably cite the progress made by Milwaukee in reducing overflows that used to be in the range of about 60 a year to one or two, and that is based on rainfall, not policy.
ReplyDeleteJames, is any dumping of raw sewage acceptable in your opinion? what if this was a private company doing the same?
ReplyDeleteRonR: perhaps you should go talk to the various suburban municipalities around Milwaukee, and persuade them to do a better job retaining their storm water so that the MMSD isn't flooded out and made to dump directly into the lake.
ReplyDeleteCharlie Pierce reports today that the Great Lakes have an unprecedented amount of plastic debris floating in it, akin to the Great Pacific Garbage Patch:

Can we send just the portions of Lake Michigan with the plastic crap in it to Waukesha?
Finally something to which Ron Johnson can add expertise.
ReplyDeleteJames, is any dumping of raw sewage acceptable in your opinion?
ReplyDeleteWhat, a reduction to 1/30 of the previous isn't enough for you? Do you understand how fractions work?
The Perfect really is the enemy of the Good, isn't it? Or do you just not bother to read JR's comment before making your oh-so-clever gotcha comment, Sparky?
