Mike Huckabee Had Most Ridiculous Post-Shooting Comment
Take God out of the classroom and this is what happens, says the former Arkansas governor and GOP presidential candidate, on Fox, of course:
When we ask why there is violence in our schools, but we’ve systematically removed God from our schools. Should we be so surprised that schools have become a place for carnage because we’ve made it a place where we don’t want to talk about eternity, life, what responsibility means, accountability?Note to Jon Stewart: please stop giving this dope a platform.

The most ridiculous comments being made are by those who want to limit the one thing that could stop a mass killing in progress, which is a citizen with a gun.
In the last thirty years, in over 61 mass shootings, not a single killer was stopped by a civilian with a gun.
Not. A. Single. One.
Continuing to argue such will only convince other people that you have nothing meaningful to say.
Mike Huckabee should be removed from Fox.
He won't, of course.
Madison Liberals are totally clueless, this incident will emphasize the need for allowing concealed carry. There will be a lot more people recognizing the need for more people to carry guns to stop crimes than there will be those wanting to outlaw them. The ones who will talking about gun control will be the same ones who constantly do this anyway. There will be a lot more who will see the value of well armed citizens as guaranteed in the constitution as a means to stop these kinds of killings.
@anony 1:20PM
Then kindly let me know who the concealed carry permit holders in my sphere of public activity are, so that I can hang close to be protected or conversely, stay far away from to avoid the stray bullets in the cross-fire or avoid the accidental discharge of people I know who are gun safety idiots.
I'll be waiting for you to personally promote making that list public and searchable on the internet. Are these people ashamed of the immense importance you seem to be lauding on them?
Let the rest of us know who you are, too, for our own good, seeing that we are obviously too clueless to figure out anything without your help.
Yeah, those stupid liberals! They should realize that if only those kiddies had been packin' this tragedy never would have happened!
So anon @1:20, are you suggesting that kindegartners bring guns to school? In my part of the country, we've had a few incidents recently of kids taking guns to school; they didn't turn out well.
Here's one of the recent incidents: http://seattletimes.com/html/localnews/2017571888_apwaschoolshooting.html
So according to Huckster children forgot about God when they came to school. hmm -guess those parents aren't doing a very good job are they?
Those children may not have forgotten about God, but think about all the children who do not get to hear the Word of God.
Would it really hurt to teach society of a God or higher accountability in public schools?
The current public school path is certainly failing in education and society.
So, please Mr. Disciple, would you even advocate stonger and better enforced gun safety laws, or does it matter to you who, and with lack of training, has access to these semi-automatic weapons? At long last, Mr. D., do you care?
Laurette,
Please tell me what training or gun safety law would have prevented this tragedy! I have a concern that you really are that dumb.
The guy didn't care about murdering children so he didn't care about the most basic laws in society. It isn't like he forgot to turn on the safety action and needed more training to prevent an accident here.
Your ignorance is simply astounding.
Please provide some specific laws that will work to prevent this type of tragedy from happening in the future.
Stronger background checks is all I ask in terms of gun control. I don't see why anyone would object to that. Better mental health care programs as well, which goes into health care reform. This is a societal issue as well, be good to each other. Treat everyone with respect, don't look at anyone with disdain and acknowledge everyone. We tend to forget that we all can affect each other, for better or for worse. Though most of us are not so mentally unstable as to do something so terrible as that man, all it really takes to drive the sanest man alive to the depths of lunacy is one bad day.
A truly good person does not need the fear of answering to a higher power. Huckabee is a misguided person in thinking that if this man cared about an afterlife he would not have done this. If he believes in a God that will only come when you believe or call for him I feel bad for him. A true God needs no one to bow to him, and does good for the sake of being good, and should expect his creations to do the same, rather than doing good for the sake of a reward in the afterlife or to have loyal subjects.
