"A little fill here and there may seem to be nothing to become excited about. But one fill, though comparatively inconsequential, may lead to another, and another, and before long a great body may be eaten away until it may no longer exist. Our navigable waters are a precious natural heritage, once gone, they disappear forever," wrote the Wisconsin Supreme Court in its 1960 opinion resolving Hixon v. PSC and buttressing The Public Trust Doctrine, Article IX of the Wisconsin State Constitution.

O let us hope... but I agree. I shook the mayor's hand tonight, BTW -- his left hand. It was heartening to see him there at the streetcar meeting.
Also, I had a chance to explore the Cathedral Square area on my way there, and I found some wonderous sights. The best to me was looking down Wells St. towards the theatres. Very "Old World" to me, and a treat to behold.
@Jason Oh I missed you at the event, I was at the 6pm. I do believe we have a good shot at getting this thing built already.
