Preservation Appreciation Tour Ends With Artistic Surprise

Small world.

We recently enjoyed a nice few days with visitors from England.


And after showing off some historic Milwaukee neighborhoods, the Lakefront, the Art Museum - - both the old building and the new - - and Leon's Custard on S. 27th St. among other highlights, we decided to check out Cedarburg's well-preserved downtown and the re-purposed mill properties along Cedar Creek.

And when I walked into the Cedarburg Cultural Center, there was the work of Eddee Daniel, photographer, preservationist advocate for the fast-disappearing Milwaukee County Grounds, and all-around environmental ally.
