Milwaukee Appearance By Photographer/Activist On Mine-Threatened Watershed

Discovering the Penokees - Slide Show and Conversation with author Joel Austin - Tuesday • May, 20, 2014 • 7 pm • at the Urban Ecology Center in Riverside Park (1500 E. Park Pl., Milwaukee 53211) - This evening will be a rare opportunity to join Joel Austin for a photo tour of one of North America's least known treasures, the Penokee Hills of northern Wisconsin - the proposed site of a large open pit iron mine.
Books will be available for sale & signing at the May 20th program.
