Good Signs For Downtown Milwaukee, Despite Opposition

News of federal approval for the streetcar system (despite roadblocks linked to The Bradley Foundation), and, separately, a possible site for the Kohl's corporate headquarters on vacant, county-owned Park East corridor land close to recent city-coordinated housing and office developments all bode well for jobs and commerce downtown.

Among the reasons for the slow pace of development in the corridor - - the County holds the lion's share of land: and Scott Walker had little focus on it, preferring motorcycle rides around the state and two campaigns for Governor: Walker even tried to assign county economic development to long-time aide Tim Russell, but after after the county board balked, Walker hung on to Russell (Google: Russell,  criminal charges, Walker04, theft, or Rindfleisch, secret email.)
