Mining Hearing In Hurley Called "Charade"

So reports the Ashland Current. Facebook posters (See the Open Group "Citizens Concerned About the Proposed Penokee Mine") report the overflow at the Hurley Inn had to try and hear from seating in a bar.

Even a leading Wisconsin business executive says the Assembly bill is a mess.

Great work, Assembly Republicans.

My take from the hearing is that there are radical individuals who have been inflamed by their belief that they have the right to spear every walleye and shoot every deer in northern Wisconsin and they will increase this activity in retribution to the mining project moving forward. A review of the testimony of Tom Maulson may be interesting and also that of Jerome Big John.
