Walkable Neighborhood: Good For Your Health

Data show sitting for long periods at work, or in the car, is really bad for you health.

Which would mean that walking or biking to work or and leaving the car to run (literally) errands beats that long, say, Pewaukee-to-Milwaukee commute.

You can see how your neighborhood rates on a walkability scale, here.

No better way to start the day than to get up early and do the commute to work by running! My route is 14km down the Little Menomonee River Parkway, and I'm not runner enough to do it more than once a week on foot, the rest of the time it's a much faster and easier bike ride. (I'm not up for that much outdoors in the snow, either, once winter starts.)
