20 Years In Office, Darling Forgets That Language Is More Than Talking Point Cliches

Twenty years in the legislature, and this is the summation?

I actually flinched when I read this quote attributed to recalled State Sen. Alberta Darling in a Wednesday Journal Sentinel report from her final joint appearance with challenger Sandy Pasch:

"'We had the audacity to take on the special interests," Darling said. "We are Wisconsin. And we will stand up for the people" to put the state on the right track for jobs."
