Recalled State Sen, Luther Olsen, (R-Ripon) Takes Hit In Ad

I saw the ad mentioned and linked in an online Washington Post column.

But the ad has been up for a while. Some confusion afoot, though now I see the item has disappeared. A new Wisconsin item is there, so maybe that was the intent all along?

* A judge has denied Wisconsin Republican state Rep. John Nygren’s appeal to get on the ballot in the recall election against Democratic state Sen. Dave Hansen, meaning there will be no primary. Nygren was the establishment pick to take on Hansen, but earlier this week the Government Accountability Board ruled that not enough of his nomination signatures were valid. (He collected 424 when 400 were needed, and 26 were thrown out.) The general election will take place on July 19th; Hansen will face David VanderLeest, who Nygren is considering supporting.

The column item had said Olsen represents Green Bay, but that would be either the recalled Sen. Dave Hansen, (D) - - above - - or Robert Cowles, (R.)

Olsen lives in Ripon, and his District covers parts of central Wisconsin to the West and South of Green Bay.

His challenger, Democratic State Rep. Fred Clark, is from Baraboo, in Sauk County.
