Testimony and data reveal faulty background checks for some gun purchasers have caused unneeded deaths and suffering, according to a fine posting by Bill Christofferson.
A national "traveling campaign is in the state until Thursday," he writes.

Faulty background checks have caused unneeded death and suffering? Wow, that is a new one. I always assumed it was the guy pulling the trigger who caused these problems. To think how uninformed I have been on this issue!
Of course there is also the false assumption that the perpetrator would not have found other means to procure a firearm, but that is another day's topic...
