The Immediate Benefits Of National Health Care Reform

The next time you hear someone attacking "Obamacare," remember the good things the new law did immediately for millions of Americans:

  1. Insurers cannot cancel policies if a person becomes sick
  2. Insurers cannot place lifetime dollar limit caps on policies.
  3. Insurers cannot deny coverage to children under age 19 due to pre-existing conditions.
  4. Parents can keep adult children on their policy up to age 26.
  5. Smaller companies are allowed tax credits up to 35 percent of premiums to help buy insurance if they have 25 or fewer employees and average wages of less than $50,000.

All of these provisions will result in Higher premiums. If it wasn’t for Obamacare, the country would not have went Republican in the last election and we wouldn’t have Walker now.

Not true about the country going R in last election: it went R due to the lies spread about healthcare reform and Obama's birthplace that were spread thanks to hundreds of millions of dollars spent by the Koch brothers, Richard Mellon Scaife and other corporate interests who have a financial stake in the outcome. And all of it without having to even give their names. Hey! If it
s such a good idea and would benefit so many American--why not put your name on it?
You're right about not having Walker now, though. Again, he's here due to the Koch brothers.

We used to say the two biggest lies are “The check is in the mail” and “It won’t hurt a bit.” Now, there is a third biggest lie, which is, “We have the best health care system in the world,” as Bill Clinton and George Bush uttered repeatedly during their respective terms. In truth, all of the standard measures of health care quality points to ours as being “the best substandard price-gouging health care system in the world”. We need to find out what's really wrong and why no one wants to fix it. Healthcare reform + politics = chaos. Http://soulfulthought.blogspot.com
