Silence, Says Wisconsin's Wannabe Pharaoh

No more talking at a public hearing. Silence. Go home.

And no public presentation of the budget at the Capitol, prescribed by law. Hand-picked people at a private business.

Walker and his legislative allies are behaving like little dictators, grabbing power, rewarding special interests, recklessly over-reaching and avoiding the consequences - - beginning with listening to criticism or taking the heat.

Here's another consequence: publicity in today's Washington Post sure to keep the tourists, business start-ups, plus bright college freshman and grad students away:

"Workers toppled a dictator in Egypt, but might be silenced in Wisconsin"

"It's a throwback to 19th-century America, when strikes were suppressed by force of arms. Or, come to think of it, to Mubarak's Egypt or communist Poland and East Germany."
