Chart Shows Highway Spending Distortion In Wisconsin

Thanks to Milwaukee Rising for posting this chart from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation about the state's highway building spending binge, and rail transit's starvation. Highway construction is the ascendant top line: rail is the bottom line that had the blip for the train that Walker canceled.

It looks like they got that rail spending nipped in the bud.

Funny, the article talks about Wlakers stopping the rail thing, and yet they show a photo of an atual train derailment, emphasing the fact that highway travel is much less dangerous than the rail.
