Bart Stupak On BP Oil Disaster

Michigan Congressman Bart Stupak, (D), had been known for his interest in Great Lakes protections before becoming a household name during the health care bill's approval, and in his last year in the House is again making news.

So when is (lame duck) Congressperson Bart Stupid going to have the relevant Dept of Interior and EPA officials testify before his sub-committee about all of the federal involvement (or lack thereof) with the Deepwater Horizon oil well disaster?

Am not going to hold my breath on that one, Obama made is abundantly clear this was all on BP and his administration had no involvement what so ever.

One has to love in the linked article the only mention of federal involvement is the reference to the “beleaguered” Minerals Management Service. Awwwww . . . you see the poor widdle MMS is not guilty of gross incompetence, they are victims here and are to be pitied. Not surprising the one person in the article asking tough questions of a federal official, was an officer from the Coast Guard.

Just realized something, the phrasing of the description of Capt. Nguyen – “a figure with a military haircut and a crisp blue uniform” – makes me wonder if the authors of the article have any clue the Coast Guard is part of the military?

I bet they don’t.
